3 ICS members arrested

PIROJPUR, July 4 (bdnews24.com): Police Friday arrested three members of Islami Chhatri Sangstha (ICS), the Jamaat-e-Islami's female student front, from a madrasah in Pirojpur, suspecting them to be involved in criminal activities.
The arrested ICS members were Tania Akhter (26), a primary school teacher and resident of Parerhat Road in Pirojpur Town, Syeda Fouzia Akhter (18), of Machhimpur, and Jesmin Nahar, (20), of Zianagar Thana.
Books written by party founder Syed Abul Ala Moududi and Delwar Hossain Sayeedi, reports on organisation members and a few diaries were recovered from them.
The court sent them to jail.
Sub-inspector of Zianagar Police Station Amar Singh told the news agency on information from the local people, the police went into the madrasah and found the women at the common room.
They said they had come to attend the members' conference.
Principal of the madrasah Ziaul Huq was not available for comments.
