30 BNP activists held in Magura

MAGURA, Apr 12 (UNB): Police arrested 30 activists of opposition BNP from different parts of four upazilas of the district in connection with a case filed following an intra-party clash.
Police said two groups of BNP clashed over a workers' meeting of district BNP in the town Saturday afternoon, leaving 20 people injured.
Police had fired tear-gas shells and blank shots to bring the situation under control.
Sadar thana sub-inspector (SI) Subodh Chandra filed two separate cases against 86 people, including district BNP president Kabir Murad and general secretary Ali Ahmed.
