32 BNP-Jamaat activists held in Chittagong

CHITTAGONG, Jan 14 (BSS): Chittagong district police, in separate overnight drives, arrested 32 activists of BNP-Jamaat from eight upazilas of the district.

Acting on secret information, Sitakunda, Lohagara and Patiya police in the drives ranging from 8.00 pm to 6.00 am Wednesday arrested 12 Jamaat-Shibir men from different areas of three upazilas, said Naimul Hasan, additional superintendent of police (Special Branch) of Chittagong district. He said 20 BNP-Jamaat activists were held from five other upazilas, including Mirsarai and Satkania, during the same period.
