GAIBANDHA, Feb 26 (UNB): A case has been filed against 33 people, including former MP and Awami League (AL) unit president Abul Kalam Azad on charge of vandalising the Upazila AL office in Gobindaganj.

Gobindaganj Police Station Officer-in-charge Mehedi Hasan said former MP Abul Kalam Azad visited Shaheed Minar with his 'men' (thugs) over a party feud.

At that time, he and his men broke the lock of the AL office and entered and vandalised it. Then he stayed inside the office for a while and left.

Gobindaganj Upazila AL leader Altamasul Islam Shilpi filed a case with the Gobindaganj Police Station on February 25.
