35 Chittagong BNP leaders get bail

CHITTAGONG, Feb 14 (UNB): A court here Thursday granted bail to 35 local leaders of BNP, including its city unit president Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, in four cases filed during hartal and blockade enforced by BNP-led 18-party ahead of the 10th parliamentary polls.

Of them, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury secured ad-interim bail till February 24 in three cases out of four while and general secretary Dr. M Shahadat Hossain in two cases out of three.

Chittagong metropolitan magistrate Nure Alam Bhuiyan and Mashiur Rahman passed the orders in separate cases.
