A total of 35 women have been recognised with Joyeeta Awards at the sub-district, district and divisional levels for their extraordinary achievements in different fields of development, reports UNB.
Crests were distributed among them at a ceremony at Nawab Nabab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban at Dhaka University (DU) Wednesday.
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury was present as the chief guest at the function jointly organised by Excess to Information Programme of the Prime Minister's Office and the Women and Children Affairs Ministry.
