The 35th death anniversary of Comrade Mohammad Farhad, former general secretary of Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) and a former member of parliament, will be observed today (Sunday), reports BSS.
The leftist leader died of heart attack on October 9 in 1987 in Moscow at the age of 49 while undergoing treatment in the capital city of the then Soviet Union.
Marking the day, CPB and different organizations have taken various programmes, including placing floral wreaths at his grave at Banani graveyard at 8:00am.
