4 BNP men held in Patuakhali

Police in separate drives arrested a local leader and three activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) from Mirjaganj and Baufal Upazilas of Patuakhali district on Saturday. Of the arrestees, one was identified as Sahabuddin Nannu, president of Mirjaganj Upazila unit of BNP. Alamgir Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Mirjaganj Police Station, said being tipped off, a police team conducted a drive in Mirjaganj Upazila and arrested Nannu and a BNP activist early today. Meanwhile, police in another drive arrested two BNP activists from Baufal Upazila almost at the same time, according to a news agency.
