40 DU students get Japanese scholarship

A total of 40 first year students of the four different academic years including 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08 and 2008-09 of Dhaka University (DU) received scholarship of Sumitomo Corporation of Japan Monday, reports BSS.
The scholarship awarding ceremony was held at the senate building conference hall of the university.
DU Vice-chancellor (VC) Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique chaired the distribution ceremony while Japanese Ambassador in Bangladesh Tamotsu Shinotsuka as the chief guest.
