42nd founding anniv of BKL observed

The 42nd founding anniversary of Bangladesh Krishak League (BKL), one of the associate bodies of the ruling Awami League (AL), was observed Saturday with an elaborate programme, reports BSS.

In observance of the day, BKL central leaders placed wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the premises of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi at 8.30 in the morning.

Former president of BKL and AL Advisory Council member Dr Mirza Jalil, AL agriculture affairs secretary Dr Abdur Razzak, BKL president Motahar Hossain Mollah, general secretary Advocate Shamsul Haque Reza and organising secretary Shakhawat Hossain Sweet were present, among others.

After placing wreath, a colourful procession was brought out from Bangabandhu Memorial Museum that ended at Ganobhaban.
