Amid a fresh threat by a group of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) to resume their protest programme against the newly formed committee of the student body, five crude bombs were exploded near the BNP's Nayapaltan central office on Sunday, reports UNB.
Witnesses said the crude bombs went off in front Hotel Victory near the BNP office around 11:55pm.
However, no one was injured in the blast, but police presence was reinforced as a precaution measure. It was not clear who were behind the blasts.
