5 Shibir men held in city

Police arrested five activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir, including its Banani thana unit president Mustafizur Rahman, from TB gate area of Mohakhali in the city early Wednesday, reports UNB.
On secret information, a team of police from Banani Police Station conducted a drive in the area and arrested them along with 130 crude bombs, one kg gunpowder, two litres of petrol, five kgs stone chips and three kgs multi-pointed nails (used for stopping vehicles) around 3.00am.
