5 suspected militants sent to Dhaka Central Jail from Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Dec 11: Five people including a Pakistani national suspected to be militants have been sent to Dhaka Central Jail for being produced to court in connection with a case filed with Lalbagh police.

Senior Jail Super of Chittagong Central Jail Sagir Meah said the five suspected militants have been sent to Dhaka at around 9:30 am on Thursday.

They are: Md Aslam, a Pakistani citizen, Abdul Majid, Abdul Amin, Md Shafiullah and Md Salamat Ullah. Detective Branch (DB) of police in Chittagong detained them from Nasirabad's Lord's Inn Hotel in the city on November 23 last.

Later, they were shown arrested in cases filed in Chittagong and Dhaka. Four of them excluding the Pakistani national were granted bail in the case filed in the port city but they were not let out of the jail as they were not granted bail in the case with Lalbagh police of Dhaka.
