50 BNP men sent to jail in Lalmonirhat

LALMANIRHAT, Aug 19 (UNB): A court here sent Monday 50 local leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) to jail rejecting their bail prayers in several cases filed for murder and subversive activities during the 10th parliamentary elections.
There were Patgram Upazila unit BNP president Mostafa Salauzzaman Opel and general secretary Amir Hamja among the accused.
