7 injured in BCL-Shibir clash in CU

CHITTAGONG, May 22 (UNB): At least seven students were injured in a clash between the activists of Bangladesh Chattra League (BCL) and Islami Chattra Shibir on Chittagong University campus Friday afternoon.
Witnesses said an activist of BCL locked in an altercation with a Shibir man around 4pm over a cricket match at the field of Alaul Hall, triggering the clash.
Following that, a violent chase and counter chase took place between the activists of both the groups, who were carrying sharp weapons and fire arms, leaving seven injured.
Later, the injured were whisked off to the university's medical centre.
