8 more weighing machines being installed: Quader

Communications Minister Obaidul Quader told the House that eight more portable weighing machines are being installed at different points of highways to control overloading in trucks and lorries.

"Besides, we have already installed eight excel load control stations at various points on highways to control overloading," he said while replying to a question of treasury bench member M Abdur Rahman.

The minister said the installed excel load control stations are at Bathuli, Manikganj, at Meghna Bridge, Narayanganj, at Gumti Bridge, Daudkandi, at Sitakunda, Chittagong, at Moinamati on Moinamati-Brahmanbaria road,  Jagdishpur, Habiganj, Rustompur, and Keranihat, Dohazari.
