87 convicted in BDR mutiny case released

GAZIPUR, Oct 27 (BSS): Eighty-seven members of BGB (former BDR) were released from Kashimpur jail on Wednesday after four months' rigorous imprisonment, jail authorities said. They were convicted in BDR mutiny case in Pilkhana. Kashimpur jail authorities released them after completion of their four months' jail term. Judge of special tribunal set up in Pilkhana gave four months' rigorous imprisonment to each on June 27 of this year. Out of 87 convicted prisoners 14 were released from unit no-1 and 73 convicted prisoners were released from unit no-2 of Kashimpur jail at 12 noon on Wednesday.
