Abducted schoolboy rescued in Rajbari

RAJBARI, June 19 (UNB): A schoolboy, who was abducted from the capital on Thursday, was rescued from Padmar Mor on Daulatdia-Khulna highway in Goalundo upazila of Rajbari district on Friday morning.
The rescued was identified as Jihadul Islam (10), son of Ziaur Rahman, a resident of Baten Nagar area of Mirpur Darus Salam Mazar road of the capital and a class V student of Notunkuri Adarsha Bidya Nikaton.
Earlier, a gang of miscreants dragged Jahidul into a microbus while he was playing with friends at a field of Gabtali area on Thursday noon and they left him alone at Tenapacha road diversion on Daulatdia-Khulna highway in Goalundo around at 4:00 am on Friday, according to the victim.
Sirajul Islam, sub-inspector (SI) of Goalando thana, said the driver of a Gazipur-bound covered-van handed the boy over to sergeant Helal after rescuing him from the area.
