Abducted WP leader found in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, Apr 10 (UNB): Nine hours after his abduction from the

capital, a thana level Workers Party (WP) leader was found in Katakhali in Sadar upazila of the district early Friday.

Tapan Saha (35), general secretary of Workers Party's Rampura thana unit in Dhaka, said he was abducted at gunpoint by five adolescent boys from near Golap Shah Mazar in Gulistan area of the city around 7: pm on Thursday.

The miscreants picked Saha in a microbus blindfolded and took him to a field in Katakhali.

Sub-inspector (SI) of Sadar thana Md Shafiqul Islam said a patrol team of police noticed the victim lying on the field in the early hours of Friday and rescued him.
