ABT threatens to kill Ctg lawyer, two others

A lawyers' forum leader in Chittagong has been threatened with death in a text massage on his mobile phone purportedly sent by banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT), reports bdnews24.com.

Chittagong Bars Association's former general secretary Ashok Kumar Das said he received the SMS at around 7:30 am on Wednesday.

 The message also said the next targets were war crimes tribunal's prosecutor Rana Dasgupta and Ekushey Award-winning social science teacher and Vice-Chancellor of Premier University Anupam Sen.

 "The sms was sent from 01876214694, but I found the number switched off when called back," Das told the news agency.

A complaint has been lodged over the matte.
