ACC chief seeks co-op of all in fighting graft

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman M Badiuzzaman sought cooperation from all, including politicians, on Sunday to eliminate the all-pervasive corruption from the country, reports UNB.
The anti-graft chief made the appeal while speaking at a human chain programe arranged by the ACC in front of National Press Club in the city, marking the Corruption Prevention Week-2015.
Referring to the week's theme, "Let's take a vow and hate the corrupt', the ACC chairman said: "If we all abhor the corrupt people, they'll get discouraged to get involved in corruption…they'll change their mindset."
Asked about the alleged irregularities of Prof Muhammad Yunus, he said if the ACC gets any allegation against him (Yunus), the commission will look into that, too.
Earlier in the morning, ACC officials, led by its chairman Badiuzzaman, brought out a procession from the ACC headquarters, which terminated at the same venue after parading Bijoynagar, Paltan and National Press Club areas.. ACC commissioner Dr M Nasir Uddin Ahmed, among others, attended the procession.
