ACC files case against SQ Chy

The Anti-Corruption Com-mission (ACC) filed a case against former lawmaker Salauddin Quader Chowdhury Wednesday accusing him of concealing wealth while submitting statement, reports UNB.
ACC Assistant Director SMM Akter Shafiq Bhuiyan filed the case with Ramna police station under Section 26 (2), 27 (1) of the ACC Act and Section 15 of the Emergency Powers Rules.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), Chowdhury, adviser to former prime minister Khaleda Zia, has concealed wealth of about Tk 11.80 million in the statement of wealth he submitted to the ACC.
Arrested by the joint forces on March 7 Chowdhury is now detained in jail.
