ACC files remand appeal for Naser Rahman

A deputy director of the Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) Monday appealed to a Dhaka court, seeking a seven-day remand for former Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) lawmaker M Naser Rahman to grill him in a corruption case, reports bdnews24.com.
Golam Shahriar Chowdhury of the ACC filed the appeal with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court for Dhaka.
Metropolitan magistrate Jagannath Das Khokon set July 11 to hear the remand appeal.
ACC Deputy Director Moniruzzaman Khan filed the case against Naser and wife Rozina Naser on May 27 with the Gulshan Police Station for earning money by unfair means.
According to case details, the two submitted a flawed wealth statement to the commission concealing information about property worth Tk 26.3 million (2.63 crore).
