The Anti-corruption Commission's (ACC's) probe into alleged corruption in BASIC Bank Limited is progressing well and legal actions would be taken against all the accused, a top official of the Commission said Wednesday.
"We are conducting the inquiry on a priority basis. It is taking much time as it is a big case. However, we will complete it as soon as possible," ACC secretary M Faizur Rahman Chowdhury said at the monthly press briefing at its head quarters in the city on the day.
The Commission has already taken cognisance of alleged involvement of some officials of BASIC Bank in corruption who accumulated illegal wealth, he said.
About the inquiry against former ministers and Members of Parliament (MPs), the ACC secretary said it is now at the final stage.
