Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) quizzed on Thursday Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) President Col (retd) Oli Ahmed over allegation of amassing wealth illegally.
Deputy Director of ACC Ram Mohon Roy interrogated him for two and a half hours starting from 11:00 am at its head office in city's Segunbagicha.
"I neither acquire illegal wealth, nor meet up my livelihood from illegal earnings," Oli told reporters after the grilling adding that he earned money in a fair way.
One S Ahmed Mia filed a complaint with the anti-graft body alleging that Oli Ahmed amassed wealth illegally.
Cases had been filed with the High Court and the District Court.
On September 10 last year, ACC Deputy Director Golam Faruk served a notice to Oli, seeking information about his movable and immovable property.
The commission in its primary investigation found that the LDP chief amassed huge property illegally, an ACC official said.
On September 25, Oli submitted wealth statement to ACC.
"ACC summoned me and I came here as a law-abiding citizen. ACC, today, quizzed me for further information about the statement," he told reporters.
