ACC raids sub-registry, power offices in city

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday conducted sudden raids on the Tejgaon sub-registry office and Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC) office at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the city.

The raids were carried out as part of the move to prevent possible grafts and irregularities in the government offices, according to an ACC press release.

Two ACC teams led by its assistant directors Ratan Kumar Das and assistant director ASM Taj-ul Islam went to Tejgaon sub-registry office and Sher-e-Bangla Nagar DPDC office respectively.

About the operation, ACC director general (admin) Md Munir Chowdhury said the raids were made so that the service recipients do not have to face any problem in having services related to land registry and electricity.
