ACC submits charge sheet against Hafiz Ibrahim, his wife

Charge sheet was submitted Thursday in the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court accusing Hafiz Ibrahim, former lawmaker of Bhola, and his wife Mafruza Sultana Roni of amassing huge unearned wealth, reports UNB.
Anti-corruption Commi-ssion (ACC) Investigating Officer (IO) Tahfizul Haq in the charge sheet stated Ibrahim had concealed information of his unearned wealth of about Tk 220 million in the statement of his wealth submitted to the ACC.
Ibrahim, elder brother of Mamoon, controversial business partner of Tarique Rahman, is already in custody.
ACC Assistant Director Mohammad Ibrahim filed the case against Ibrahim and his wife with Gulshan police station on May 8.
