September 14, 2007 00:00:00

The Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) will examine whether the corruption allegation against Home Secretary Abdul Karim as reported in a section of the press Thursday warrants any inquiry and whether it is at all eligible for investigation, reports UNB.
"I'm stating clearly, thousands of such complaints come to the Commission everyday. He (Karim) was not the Home Secretary at the time of incident mentioned in the allegation", ACC Secretary Mokhlesur Rahman said during a regular briefing referring to the press reports on allegation of corruption against the Home Secretary.
"The Commission will examine as to whether the subject warrants inquiry. The ACC has not yet taken any decision if the allegation is at all eligible for investigation", he said.
