ACC to file corruption case against Mahi B Chy

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has moved to file a case against former lawmaker Mahi B Chowdhury over allegations of amassing illegal wealth worth approximately Tk 206.9 million and money laundering, reports BSS.

The commission has already appointed Deputy Director of the anti graft body Md Jahangir Alam as the Investigation Officer (IO) in this regard, ACC Director General Md Akhter Hossain disclosed the information to the reporters at a media briefing in the capital on Wednesday.

According to the commission, the former lawmaker has amassed assets and properties worth approximately Tk 206.9 million but in his wealth statement he concealed information of his assets and properties worth approximately Tk 96.8 million by false and baseless declaration.
