A Dhaka court has accepted a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to let them interrogate former state minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak at the jail gate in connection with a graft case, reports BSS.
Dhaka Senior Special Judge Md Sabbir Faiz passed the order on Monday, allowing a plea filed by the anti-graft body.
According to the petition, Palak allegedly abused his power to acquire wealth of about Tk 8 7.3 million in his name and the names of others, which are inconsistent with his known sources of income.
The ACC said he deposited Tk 320.4 million in 25 bank accounts, of which Tk 298.4 million has been withdrawn.
