ACC to sue DPDC engr for alleged corruption

The Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to file a case against an official of Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC) for his alleged embezzlement of about Tk 20 million.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Commission Wednesday and the case will be filed soon, the anti-graft body officials told reporters.

ACC officials said the case will be filed against DPDC engineer Ataur Rahman Khan as he allegedly accumulated about Tk 20 million by hiding information in his wealth statement.

Deputy assistant director of ACC Meftahul Jannat is investigating the case.
