ACC to sue wife of former chief engineer of RHD

The Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) approved Thursday filing of a case against the wife of former chief engineer of Roads and Highways Department (RHD) Md Fazlul Haque for concealing information in the wealth statement.

The approval was given at a regular meeting of the Commission, the anti-graft watchdog public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told reporters.

ACC investigation found that Ms Suraya is the owner of about Tk 18 million undisclosed money and she also concealed about Tk 0.95 million in the wealth statement she submitted in the Commission.

Deputy Director of the Commission Mirza Zahidul Alam led the investigation and he would file the case against Ms Suraya Begum soon.
