Acting CJ pays homage to war heroes

Acting Chief Justice (CJ) M Enayetur Rahim on Tuesday paid rich tributes to the martyrs of the Liberation War marking the Independence and National Day, reports BSS.

He paid homage to the war heroes by placing wreaths at National Memorial in Savar on the outskirts of the capital and Smriti Chironjib on the Supreme Court premises respectively.

M Enayetur Rahim first laid wreath at the National Memorial at 06:10 am to pay deep respect to the martyred freedom fighters as justices from the Appellate and High Court divisions of the Supreme Court were present.

Later, the acting CJ also placed another wreath at "Smiriti Chironjib" on the Supreme Court premises at0 7:45am.

Justices from the Appellate and High Court divisions and officials from different sections of the Supreme Court registrar were also present.
