Activists throng BNP central office

Leaders and activists of BNP throng the party\'s Naya Paltan central office on Sunday after it was reopened on Saturday evening. — Focus Bangla

The BNP leaders and activists have started gathering at their Naya Paltan headquarters, a day after it was unlocked, reports bdnews24.com.

The office has been opened after three months.

A large number of police was deployed there since Sunday morning.

Police locked the office on January 3 after preventing BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia from leaving her Gulshan office.

Khaleda stayed at her office for three months and finally appeared before a court  Sunday. She secured bail in two corruption cases.

She has returned to her Gulshan residence.

The BNP reopened the office Saturday evening after police personnel deployed there left.

Party activists started gathering there since Sunday morning. Deputy Office Secretary Asadul Karim Shaheen, executive committee member Bilkis Islam, Jatiyatabadi Mahila Dal's Vice Chairperson Shirin Rahman were seen going into the office.
