Actor Tahsan gets anticipatory bail in Evaly scam case

Renowned actor and musician Tahsan Khan on Thursday obtained anticipatory bail for six weeks from the High Court (HC) in a case filed by one of the customers of the controversial e-commerce platform Evaly Limited.

Tahsan has been asked to surrender in the lower court after six weeks and the court has been asked to consider his petition thereafter.

HC bench of Justice Sheikh Md Zakir Hossain and Justice Khizir Hayat issued the order after hearing a petition filed by the accused.

Before granting bail, the HC said, "Celebrities have a lot of responsibilities. Some people just run like crazy when they see you. You have to be more careful about your position."

The accused appeared before the HC bench for bail virtually when hearing of the petition was being held.
