Afroza Abbas comes under attack again

BNP candidate for Dhaka-9 constituency Afroza Abbas and her supporters came under attack once again allegedly by Awami League (AL) men while conducting electioneering in the city's Khilgaon area on Tuesday morning, leaving an unspecific number of people injured, reports UNB.

At a press conference at her Shahjahanpur residence in the evening, Afroza Abbas alleged leaders and activists of AL and its front organisations swooped on them while they were carrying out campaign at Nawabi intersection in front of Shantipur School around 11:00 am.

She also claimed the attack left over 80 of her supporters injured while police arrested two others -- The injured were taken to different hospitals.
