Unhappy over the formation of its new committee, the demonstrating Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal leaders Saturday locked the student body’s central office inside BNP’s Nayapaltan central office.
The dissident JCD men have been demonstrating in front of the Nayapaltan office since Wednesday demanding that the new body of BNP’s student associate organisation be dissolved calling it an ‘incompetent and pocket committee’, according to a news agency.
Some 200 JCD men, deprived of posts in the new committee, gathered in front of their central office around 11am and resumed their agitation Saturday, for the 4th consecutive day.
They stormed into the office on the 3rd floor of the BNP’s Nayapaltan central office around 12:15 pm and locked its main gate.
