Agitation over female councillor\\\'s missing

GAZIPUR, Jul 12: Locals have blocked roads to agitate in Gazipur over missing of a female councillor Parvin Akter, reports bdnews24.com.
She has been missing since Friday.
"She has been remain untraced so far," her brother Rafiq Mia said Saturday. "Police are unable to say about her whereabouts."
Parvin Akter, hailing from Gazipur's South Panishail locality, is a councillor of ward number 1, 2, and 3.
She went out to attend an arbitration Friday morning but did not return home.
Joydevpur's Chakrabarty outpost Sub-inspector (SI) Md Mizanur Rahman said the locals gathered in front of Parvin Akter's house Saturday and started agitating.
Later, they blocked the Kaliakoir-Nabinagar road and prevented vehicular movement for half an hour from 10:30am, he said.
A complaint has been filed with Joydevpur police over the councillor's disappearance.
Joydebpur police Officer-in-Charge SM Kamruzzaman said they had received tips on Parvin Akter's location at Chirirbandar in Dinajpur's Hili.
"A special team of police is working to rescue her," he said.
