Fisheries, Livestock and Agriculture Minister Mohammad Amin Ur Rashid on Thursday drew attention at the Bangladesh Secretariat by demonstrating a simple yet symbolic act of discipline, sending a strong message about following rules, reports BSS.

"Upon arriving at the ministry, the minister followed standard procedures when entering the building and using the elevator, standing in line like other officials and staff," according to a press release of the ministry.

His actions sparked discussion among employees present, with many viewing it as a strong message on the importance of adhering to rules in public service.

"If we follow the law even in small steps, change is bound to come. By building a culture of discipline and respect for rules, we can create a more responsible and developed society," he said.

Speaking to reporters before entering his office, the minister emphasised the value of discipline in everyday conduct.

He also highlighted the role of government employees in setting standards.

According to him, adherence to rules and regulations in public offices can lead to a more organised work environment and contribute to improving citizens' quality of life.

Eyewitnesses noted that such behavior from a high-ranking persona sends a powerful message.

Some described it as a positive shift in administrative culture, reinforcing the principles of equality, accountability, and mutual respect among staff.

Observers added that when leaders model such conduct, it can inspire similar changes across different levels of the administration.
