AL-backed panel wins JU deans poll

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Jan 21: Awami League-backed teachers' forum won full panel in the dean election of Jahangirnagar University (JU) defeating the Nationalist Teachers' Forum.
The election to the deans for four faculties of JU was held Thursday.
Prof Ausit Baran Paul of Arts and Humanities faculty, Prof Mohammad Nurul Alam faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Prof Sazed Ashraf Karim Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof Abdul Zabbar Hauladar of faculty of Biological Sciences won the election defeating candidates of the nationalist forum.
