AL, front organisations hold protest rallies in city

Awami League (AL), its front organizations and other different bodies brought out anti-vandalism rallies at different parts in the city protesting Sunday's chaos in the capital, committed by Jamaat and Shibir activities, reports BSS. A man was killed and another injured when a hand-made bomb blast at Motijheel while several vehicles were set a fire by the activists of BNP-Jamaat led four-party alliance and clash with the police at different points in the city. Jamaat supporters created unruly situation in the area which was spread fast through out the city, activities of Dhaka Mohanagar AL, Jubo League, Shechhasebok League, Sramik League, Chhatra League hurriedly brought out rallies from their respective wards and took position in front of 23, Bangabandhu Avenue party office. The Mohanagar AL led by its general secretary Mofazzel Hossain Chowdhury Maya brought out a demonstration rally at 12pm while another procession was brought out by Shechhasebok League led by its general secretary Pankaj Debnath. The other front organizations of Awami League brought out rallies and returned to the party office after paraded Gulistan, Paltan, Kakrail and Dainik Bangla. Later a short meeting held in front of party office, acting general secretary of Awami League Mahbub-ul Alam Hanif said BNP-Jamaat activist intentionally attacked to the general people just after the Fazr prayer to create unruly situation in the city.
