NARAIL, Nov 19 (bdnews24.com): At least 30 people have been injured in a clash between Awami League and its youth wing Juba League in Narail.
Several law enforcers were also injured when they were trying to disperse the feuding pro-government activists.
Among the injured, three were identified as Lohagara police Sub-inspector Shankar Kumar Matubbar, constable Kalam and Juba League leader Kaji Bashirul Haque.
Four critically injured people were admitted into the Khulna Medical College Hospital.
The police said clashes broke out Friday morning at village Ulagram of Lakkhipasha Union. At least 15 houses were also vandalised.
Sources said that the longstanding feud between Lohagara Municipal AL President Kaji Bani Amin and Juba League leader Bashirul caused the clash. Amin's men, armed with local weapons, attacked Bashirul and his supporters. When we tried to stop them they attacked us as well.
