AL-Jubo League joint meet today

A joint meeting of Awami League (AL) and its youth front Jubo League (JL) will be held today (Saturday) to discussion preparations to make the ruling party's programmes scheduled for January 5 and 10 a success, reports UNB.

The meeting will begin at 4:30 pm at AL president Sheikh Hasina's Dhanmondi political official.

JL chairman and general secretary, presidents and secretaries of JL Dhaka City North and South units will sit in the meeting with AL central leaders.

In a statement, AL general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam urged all concerned to attend the meeting in time.

AL will celebrate 'Democracy Victory Day' on January 5, the first anniversary of the 10th parliamentary elections, bringing out colourful rallies throughout the country simultaneously.

The ruling party will also mark the Homecoming Day of Bangabandhu arranging a rally in the capital's Suhrawardy Udyan.
