AL leader killed in Cox\\\'s Bazar

COX'S BAZAR, Apr 26 (UNB): A local Awami League (AL) leader, also a union parishad member, was shot to death by miscreants at Rangikhali in Teknaf upazila of the district on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Shafiq Ahmed (50), member of Nhilla union.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf thana Kazi Matiul Islam said a group of miscreants opened fire on Shafiq at a tea stall at about 9:00 pm, leaving him dead on the spot.
