Awami League (AL) leader and former minister Mohammad Nasim returned home Friday night after nearly four months' treatment in Singapore, reports UNB.
Nasim along with his youngest son Tanmoy Mansur Joy reached Zia International Airport at about 10:35 pm by a flight of Singapore Airlines.
Awami League Commerce and Industries Affairs Secretary Col (retd) Faruk Khan, Nasim's eldest son Tanvir Shakil and some other AL leaders received him at the airport. He then went to his Dhanmondi residence.
Mohammad Nasim, who was sentenced to 13 years' imprisonment by a court for amassing illegal wealth, was released on a High Court bail on August 16 this year.
Nasim received treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore as he was suffering from brain hemorrhage.
On March 21 last year, the Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) had filed a case against Nasim with Dhanmondi police station and joint forces had arrested him on February 4 from his Dhanmondi house.
