AL media centre opens

Awami League Saturday opened a media centre on the 4th floor of house no. 33, road no. 4 in the city's Dhanmondi area to facilitate the professional works of journalists during pre-and post-election periods, reports UNB.
Awami League presidium member Motia Chowdhury inaugurated the media centre, as party president Sheikh Hasina, who was scheduled to inaugurate it, could not turn up on health ground.
"All information about the grand alliance's election activities and its candidates will be available at the Media centre," co-chairman of AL election conducting committee HT Imam told journalists at the inauguration ceremony.
Journalists can avail of the internet, phone and fax facilities of the media centre that will remain open from 10.00 am to 11.00 pm until December 25, and till 12.00 pm from December 26 to December 31.
Seeking cooperation of the media people, HT Imam said the AL is also ready to help the journalists in this regard.
