AL MP MA Latif leads demo near Khaleda\\\'s office

Awami League (AL) MP from Chittagong-11 constituency MA Latif together with some people staged a demonstration with 14 dummies of dead bodies near BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's Gulshan office protesting the ongoing transport blockade, hartal and violence, reports UNB.

Nearly 40 people led by Mr Latif carrying the dummies of dead bodies in a truck came to lay a siege to Khaleda's office around 1:30pm, aiming to register their protest against the killings of people by petrol bomb attacks.

As they reached the entry point of the road-No 86 in Gulshan-2, police intercepted them. Later, they staged a brief demonstration there.

Addressing the programme, Latif said despite being a former Prime Minister and the chief of a democratic political party, Khaleda Zia has let loose hyenas and criminals against the general public in the name of hartal and blockade sitting in her office.
