Ruling Awami League has postponed its peace rally, scheduled to be held at the civil aviation ground in the capital's Uttara on Saturday, due to the inclement weather, reports UNB.
Considering the suffering of the activists and supporters due to heavy rainfall, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself has ordered the postponement of today's (Saturday) mass rally, said Proloy Samaddar, office secretary of the party's Dhaka metropolitan north unit.
The rally will now be held the following Saturday (October 14) at 2 pm at the same venue, he added.
