AL procession on Hasina\\\'s Homecoming Day

Ruling Awami League (AL) Friday brought out a colourful procession from Suhrawardy Udyan, marking the 34th Homecoming Day of the party president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, reports UNB.
Thousands of people holding balloons, placards, festoons, national and Awami League's flags and portraits of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Sheikh Hasina and Sajeeb Wazed Joy, joined the rally from Suhrawardy Udyan to Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi 32 in the city in the afternoon.
The processionists also marched towards Dhanmondi chanting slogans against firebomb terrorism and anarchy by Jamaat-Shibir.
Addressing a brief rally prior to bringing out the procession, Awami League presidium member and Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury said Sheikh Hasina means democracy and achievement of Bangladesh.
