The ruling Awami League (AL) Tuesday submitted its income-tax return for 2013-2014 fiscal year to the National Board of Revenue (NBR), report agencies.
Awami League office secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap and AL leader ABM Reazul Kabir Kawsar submitted the tax return to the Deputy Commissioner of Taxes at NBR's Topkhana office in the city.
Party sources said the income of the ruling party during the financial year was around Tk 120 million while the expenditure was Tk 60 million.
Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap said the income-expenditure account of the party was submitted in accordance with the directive of the Election Commission (EC).
